This Japanese charm made of fabric is named omamori. In Japan, this protection omamori is bought in a Buddhist temple or a Shinto shrine, after having made a prayer. Japanese people usually carry an omamori in their wallet or hang it on their phone or keys. You can also hang it on the rear view mirror of your car.
This small cloth bag can be opened to put a piece of paper on which is written the prayer or the name of the protector god.
